The Gathering Up of 12 Baskets

And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full. And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

What was received from the boy went through a making process. The Lord has received us from our families, denominations, disciplines and others.

Even the disciples wondered of what use can our life be, considering the great demand that is on ground (5000 men excluding women and children to be fed). We know there are many situations in our land and the world that needs to be affected with Jesus and it looks impossible to many of God’s servants John 6:9b.

Jesus blessed the bread and broke them:
The Lord Jesus received our willing lives to bless us. But this blessing will not multiply and affect others without Him breaking our lives. His breaking process for our lives is to sanctify us to be meet for the His (master’s) use and prepared unto every good works.

He gave it to His disciples:
He will make us borrowed vessels in the hands of His disciples at different platforms so they can see the efficacy of a blessed and broken lives. These disciples’ doubt will become clear as Jesus lends us into our churches and different segments in our societies so we can affect lives positively.

Jesus doesn’t abandon His vessel, He mobilizes them for greater tasks.

Let us examine what happens to the vessels He uses. They are the:

Remnants: We are the remnant chosen by God. May we not be left behind in this world after we have served our generations.

Gathering fragments of barley bread: The Lord will gather us up on the last day to be with Him.

Nothing be lost: He will not lose us to the world. He will keep us till the end. God will not leave us on the ground to decay and waste away in this world after we have served our generations. We will be part of the first resurrection. We will have a space and portion with Him just like the 12 apostles and the 12 sons of Jacob.

Prayer burden
Lord I release my life into your hands. Pls sanctify it to meet Your standard and prepare it only for Your good works.

Bless my life for your purpose and plans.
Break my life to fit into your purpose and plans
Put me into the hands of your disciples that will direct my lives to flow into lives where I am needed.
When the saints shall be gathered up may I be there with you in glory.
